who is this visa for?
These visas are for skilled persons that are able to qualify for an occupation listed on one of the Department’s Skilled Occupation Lists.
Skilled Visas
From the 1st of July, 2012 all applicants wishing to migrate permanently to Australia through the Skilled Migration Stream are required to lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the online system known as SkillSelect.
Upon lodgement of the EOI, intending migrants are ranked according to a range of factors including points test score and nominated occupation. The Department of Immigration and State-Territory Authorities are currently offering invitations to candidates pooled in the SkillSelect database on a monthly basis, based upon the ranking of their EOI.
